2024 Charity Review: Viaro Energy donates to over 40 charities

Last year, Viaro Energy worked closely with local charities to support their important work. Throughout 2024, Viaro is proud to have worked with over 40 charities, giving back to the local community and supporting those who need it most across the UK.

Projects have included providing families with essential supplies, including maternity bundles and children’s clothing and toys, as well as ensuring food security through food banks and community pantries. We have also worked with charities supporting adults with learning difficulties and those promoting mental wellbeing and reducing the stigma surrounding men’s mental health.

We are committed to supporting our local communities and those in need, and are proud to share some of the organisations we have worked with this year below:

Food Bank Aid supports over 30 food banks that provide essential food supplies to 20,000 people each week. The charity ensures essential ingredients are available to encourage nutritious home cooking, as well as supplying cleaning and personal hygiene products.

Somebody Cares works with over 80 different support agencies to furnish homes and provide everyday essentials to families in need. They are also able to provide clothing for those who have fled domestic violence, as well as access to free haircuts and professional clothing for those trying to get back into the workplace.

Cfine supports disadvantaged families by providing emergency food and community pantries, alongside cooking classes and free period products. They also offer a service to help people navigate the UK welfare system and provide adults with learning disabilities training and skills development.

The Childhood Trust operates programmes and projects to support disadvantaged children and help break the poverty cycle, delivering impactful services to around 390,000 children. They seek to ensure children have access to safe environments where they can learn and grow by investing in youth clubs.

AberNecessities has supported over 18,000 children by providing essential supplies such as maternity bundles and children’s clothing and toys, as well as emotional support when needed. They also offer Christmas Eve boxes for children who may not otherwise receive any Christmas presents.

Connected Homelessness works with food banks, shelters and charities to identify rough sleepers and provide them with a low-cost device they can use to access support and services through their app. The charity then works to connect rough sleepers with trained housing lawyers and mental health, employment and health support partners. Members of the public can donate directly to a specific rough sleeper using the app.
