Viaro Energy Appoints Jillian Owen as Head of Transition to Operatorship to Lead Major Asset Acquisition

Viaro Energy is pleased to announce the appointment of Jillian Owen as Head of Transition to Operatorship. With over 25 years of experience in the energy sector, Jillian joins Viaro from Apache Corporation, where she served as the UK Country Manager.

In her new role, Jillian will oversee Viaro’s transition to operatorship, focusing on completing the company’s landmark acquisition of Shell and ExxonMobil’s entire Southern North Sea portfolio. This strategic move further strengthens Viaro’s position as a leading independent energy company in the UK Continental Shelf.

“Jillian’s extensive expertise in joint venture management, late-life asset optimisation, and commercial leadership makes her an invaluable addition to Viaro Energy,” said Francesco Mazzagatti, CEO of Viaro. “As we take on operatorship of these key assets, Jillian’s leadership will ensure a seamless transition and unlock new opportunities for growth and efficiency.”

Jillian has a strong track record in driving business transformation, regulatory engagement, and sustainability initiatives. She currently serves as a Board Member of Offshore Energies UK, where she actively contributes to shaping industry policy and the future of the North Sea energy sector.

“I am excited to join Viaro Energy at such a pivotal time,” said Jillian Owen. “The company’s ambitious growth strategy, commitment to energy security, and focus on innovation align perfectly with my experience and vision for the sector. I look forward to leading this transition and ensuring the continued success of Viaro’s expanding portfolio.”

Viaro Energy remains committed to responsible energy development, operational excellence, and a sustainable energy future. The acquisition of Shell and ExxonMobil’s Southern North Sea assets marks a significant step in Viaro’s long-term strategy to enhance energy security and optimise North Sea resources.
